GLENASHLEY JUNIOR &
PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL

Glenashley Junior Primary School has been proudly serving the Durban North community since 1965, when it was first established among the sugar cane fields of Glenashley.

Since then the school has grown consistently to the point where it now has 12 classes in the Junior Primary phase and its own private, Pre-Primary School attached.

Glenashley school is fiercely dedicated to the development of the whole child, from the age of 3 years to 9 years, covering Grade 000 to Grade 3.

In 1985 the principal at the time, Mrs Sheila Simpkins, established a Trust Fund. This Trust supports the school in upgrading facilities and financing new projects such as the Pre-school building, the new Media Centre & Computer Room, plus the Aftercare Building.

Our badge shows the cane fields that once surrounded the school.
Our motto is Keep Trying
